Emma - Birth Doula

  • Meet Emma, a devoted and creative doula whose passion for supporting families has been lifelong. Inspired by her dreams of becoming a kindergarten teacher, an OBGYN, and later a midwife (thanks to Call the Midwife!), Emma always felt a strong pull toward family care and birth work.

Alongside her love for birth support, Emma has a deep appreciation for art and creativity. She spent three years working at an art gallery, fully immersing herself in the art world. But even then, her dream of caring for families never left her heart.

In May, Emma made the exciting decision to leave her art gallery career and focus fully on becoming a doula. Now, she’s dedicated to her training and committed to being the best “birth bestie” she can be. Emma feels truly honored to support families through one of life’s most transformative journeys, providing compassionate care, encouragement, and unwavering support every step of the way.

Liz - Postpartum Doula

  • Liz walks gently beside families in the tender season that follows birth, offering care that is rooted in empathy, warmth, and deep understanding. Based in midtown Toronto, she brings a nurturing and non-judgmental presence to every home she enters, knowing that sometimes the smallest acts of support can mean everything.

Her path to doula work was shaped by her own story — giving birth far from home and finding herself adrift in the vulnerable, uncharted waters of new parenthood. A decade after navigating postpartum depression, Liz now offers the kind of steady, loving support she once needed herself. With a background in education and public health, she weaves together knowledge and compassion to guide families through the early days with care that is both practical and deeply human.

Whether she’s tending to a newborn, listening with an open heart, or simply holding space for rest and healing, Liz’s goal is always the same: to help new parents feel seen, heard, and held as they grow into this new chapter of their lives.

Poomeja - Birth & Postpartum Doula

  • Poomeja’s journey into doula work grew from a lifelong dream of becoming a midwife and a deep desire to walk alongside people through one of the most transformative times in their lives. She has always felt called to support others during pregnancy and birth, and becoming a doula has been one of the most meaningful decisions she’s ever made.

She believes that having a strong support system during pregnancy and postpartum is essential, and she feels truly honoured to be part of that circle of care—offering emotional support, encouragement, and reassurance every step of the way.

Currently completing her bachelor’s degree in Human Health Science, Poomeja brings a thoughtful, grounded perspective to her work. Outside of her studies and doula practice, she finds balance through reading, yoga, meditation, and knitting—all practices that help her stay present and connected. She also loves making and painting pottery, a creative outlet that reflects her nurturing and hands-on approach.

A self-described social butterfly, Poomeja thrives on building meaningful relationships and creating a warm, welcoming space for everyone she supports. Her friendly, open nature and genuine love for people make her a comforting and joyful presence during pregnancy, birth, and beyond.

With a warm, patient, and deeply supportive presence, she brings care, compassion, and a steadfast commitment to every journey she’s part of.

For Kait, being a doula is about so much more than showing up on the day of birth — it’s about listening without judgment, advocating fiercely for your wishes, and creating a foundation of trust and confidence that carries you through every stage of the journey. Whether this is your first baby or your fifth, she sees herself as your guide and biggest cheerleader — the steady hands and calm voice that help you navigate one of life’s most transformative experiences.

From early pregnancy support filled with information, resources, and reassurance, to hands-on comfort measures and encouragement during birth, and nurturing postpartum care once your baby arrives, Kait is there every step of the way. She offers thoughtful guidance on infant feeding (breast/chestfeeding or otherwise), emotional support as you adjust to new rhythms, and even a helping hand with household organization.

Kait can support families in English, conversational French, Portuguese, and basic Italian, and she delights in connecting across cultures and languages.
