The Collaborative Doula Network

What is the Collaborative Doula Network?

The Collaborative Doula Network is a community-rooted non-profit organization created to make meaningful education, connection, and support more accessible to individuals, families, doulas, and the wider community.

We believe everyone deserves access to compassionate, inclusive, and informed support through life's many transitions. From fertility, pregnancy, birth, and postpartum to loss, grief, caregiving, aging, and end-of-life, our goal is to create spaces where people can learn, connect, feel supported, and find community.

Through accessible classes, workshops, community programs, peer support, one-on-one and group offerings, professional education, and collaborative partnerships, the Network works to bridge gaps in care and bring people together.

We are also committed to supporting the people who support others. By creating opportunities for doulas and community care providers to learn, collaborate, share resources, build relationships, and give back, we hope to strengthen the network of care available within our communities.

At the heart of the Collaborative Doula Network is a simple belief: care is stronger when it is connected.

We are building more than programs. We are building a community where knowledge is shared, support is accessible, different experiences and perspectives are welcomed, and no one has to navigate life's biggest transitions alone.

Learn together. Support one another. Strengthen the community.

Doula Modalities

Fertility Doula

A fertility doula provides compassionate support to individuals and families as they navigate the often emotional and complex journey toward conception. Whether trying to conceive naturally or with assisted reproductive technologies, a fertility doula offers encouragement, education, and holistic care tailored to each unique path.

A fertility doula does not replace medical care, but walks beside families with care and compassion—reminding them that their journey is not one they have to travel alone.

Birth Doula

A birth doula provides continuous, compassionate support throughout pregnancy, labor, and birth. Their role is to walk alongside families with encouragement, knowledge, and care so that each person feels informed, supported, and empowered in their birth experience. A birth doula does not replace medical providers but works alongside them to ensure clients feel heard, respected, and cared for. Their focus is always on empowering families and helping them navigate birth with confidence and support.

Postpartum Doula

A postpartum doula provides nurturing, hands-on support for families as they adjust to life with a new baby. Their role is to ease the transition after birth by offering practical help, emotional care, and guidance during the early weeks and months of parenthood. A postpartum doula does not take over but instead empowers families to find their own rhythm, building confidence and calm as they step into this new chapter.

Grief & Loss Doula

A loss doula offers gentle, compassionate support to individuals and families experiencing pregnancy or infant loss. Their role is to walk beside grieving parents with care, resources, and comfort—ensuring no one has to face loss alone.
A loss doula does not replace professional medical or mental health care, but instead offers a steady, compassionate presence—helping families navigate loss with dignity, love, and support.

End-of-Life/Death Doula

An end-of-life doula (sometimes called a death doula) provides compassionate, non-medical support to individuals and families as they navigate the final stages of life. Their role is to bring comfort, presence, and guidance during one of life’s most profound transitions.

An end-of-life doula does not replace hospice or medical teams, but complements them by focusing on the emotional, spiritual, and human side of dying, ensuring the process is met with dignity, compassion, and care.
